Loose Gravel: The Band Members, gigs, tunes, contact info |
| Band Members |
Background Loose Gravel is a band that is hooked on New Orleans Funk. We play the music of Professor Longhair, the Meters, the Neville Brothers, Jon Cleary & the Absolute Monster Gentlemen, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Joe Krown Organ Combo, Shane Theriot and others from the Crescent City. It's music that takes the African and Caribbean-influenced grooves found in funk and gives them that distinctly New Orleans flavor -- the laid-back, seductive shuffle of the Second Line. These are grooves to make you move.
